Business Design
Incorporates strategy, business model, market and financial acumen into design thinking so we better understand what we can do – and frame what we cannot – to muster the confidence to leap from concept to market and speculated to realized value.
Communication Design
Finds a common thread within multidisciplinary teams’ work and weaves it into communication pieces that convey a clear and succinct story to stakeholders and team members.
Culture & People Experience
Designs employee experiences for health and happiness by supporting, equipping and empowering employees to show up as their most authentic selves. Inclusion and belonging are top priorities as are creating awesome spaces in which to work and providing opportunities for all to develop the capabilities needed to succeed in current and future roles.
Design Program Management
Provides program management and operational support throughout our team and across partner teams by increasing communication, fostering connection points and streamlining processes. Balances multiple projects in a creative design environment.
Design Prototyping
Creates prototypes of experiences to demonstrate how concepts will work or look in contexts that simulate real environments.
Design Research
Develops insights by conducting exploratory, generative and formative research activities and translating user needs into human-centered design solutions.
Design Thinking
Scales design thinking capabilities by shaping ways of thinking and on-the-job behaviors throughout the global Ford enterprise through coaching, learning experiences, content development and collaborative engagement with a wide range of teams across Ford.
Experience Architecture
Articulates reference designs, experience and behavior requirements for the delivery of an intended experience. Identifies and translates the systems requirements to deliver the intended experience. Shepherds the intended experiences into production and the hands of the customer.
Experience Design
Translates customer insights and needs into designed solutions, experiences, products and services that are integrated and delivered digitally or physically.
Industrial Design
Translates physical product experiences into product design concepts and solutions.
Interaction Design
Defines digital product experiences and concepts focusing on human interaction throughout the user journey.
Physical Solutions Design
Works cross-functionally with Experience Architects, Product Design and Engineering to translate concepts into feasible solutions aligned to program architecture, package, manufacturing and safety requirements.
Software Design & Data Design
Creates interactive and data-driven prototypes, makes data accessible and inspires and educates through technology.
